Getting Started With Testlify
Welcome to Testlify, the AI-powered skill assessment and interview platform designed to help you hire smarter, faster, and more confidently.
This guide walks you through everything you need to set up your account, invite your team, and customize your workspace.
1. Setting up your account
Step 1 — Visit Testlify
Go to https://app.testlify.com and click Try for free.
Step 2 — Choose how to register
You can either:
- Fill in your First name, Last name, Business email, and Phone number, or
- Sign up instantly using Google or Microsoft single sign-on.
💡 Tip: No credit card is required for your free trial.
Step 3 — Verify and start your trial
Once your details are verified, you’ll be redirected to your workspace and automatically begin your 7-day free trial with 50 candidate credits.
2. Add your team members
Team collaboration is simple on Testlify.
Step 1 — Open settings
- Click the gear icon ⚙️ at the top right.
- Go to Settings → Users.
Step 2 — Invite new users
- Click the Add button in red (top right).
- Enter one or more email addresses.
- Select their role (Admin or Member).
- Click Add user to send invitations.
Step 3 — Manage roles
To edit a user’s access:
- Click the ⋯ menu next to their name.
- Choose Change role or Deactivate.
Roles explained:
- Admin: Can manage users, billing, and settings.
- Member: Can create/manage assessments and candidates.

3. Customizing your brand on Testlify
Make your workspace feel like your own.
Steps to brand your workspace
- Go to Settings → Branding.
- Upload your Company logo, Favicon, and optional Welcome image.
- Choose your Brand color and Text color.
- Click Save and Preview to confirm.
💡 Tip: Use PNG or SVG files for best visual quality.

4. Creating assessments
Assess candidates in minutes with AI-powered tests.
- From the dashboard, click Create assessment.
- Choose a role or template.
- Add or remove skills and adjust difficulty.
- Set up candidate invitations.

5. Duplicating an assessment
Save time by cloning your best test setup.
- Go to your Assessments tab.
- Click the ⋯ menu next to an existing test.
- Select Make a copy.
- Rename and customize as needed.

7. Downloading invoices
Access billing details anytime.
- Open Settings → Billing.
- Choose Invoices to view or download past bills.
