How to Copy an Assessment in Testlify
The Make a Copy feature in Testlify duplicates an existing assessment — including its tests, custom questions, and advanced settings — so you can quickly build a variation without starting from scratch.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have at least one published or draft assessment in your workspace before proceeding.
How to Copy an Assessment
- Navigate to the Assessments tab in your Testlify account.
- Locate the assessment you want to copy.
-
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the end of the assessment row.
-
Select Make a copy from the dropdown menu.

What Happens Next
Testlify creates a duplicate at the top of your Assessments list, automatically named Copy of [original assessment name].
What Gets Copied
- All tests you previously selected
- All custom questions
- All advanced settings
Tip: Rename the copy immediately after creating it to keep your assessment list easy to navigate.
