How to Edit an Assessment in Testlify

Before you begin

You need an active Testlify account with permission to manage assessments. Log in at app.testlify.com before starting.

How to edit an assessment

  1. Log in to your Testlify workspace. Your dashboard shows all your assessments.

  2. Locate the assessment you want to modify. Click the three-dot menu next to it and select Edit.

  3. Use the four tabs on the Setup Assessment page to make your changes:

    • Basic — Rename the assessment.

    • Test — Add or remove tests from Testlify's library of 1,800+ assessments. Search by name or filter by skill, job role, or difficulty level.

    • Question — Add custom questions for job-specific or scenario-based evaluation.

    • Setting — Toggle features such as time limits and proctoring options.

  4. Click Save to apply your changes.

    Tip: Use the Preview option on the assessment page to review the candidate experience before sending new invitations.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit an assessment after it has been sent to candidates?
Yes. Changes apply only to future invitations. Candidates who have already been invited will take the original version.

Can I remove tests that are already part of the assessment?
Yes. Open the Test tab, remove any existing tests, and add replacements.

Can I reset an assessment to its original state after editing?
Not automatically. To revert, manually undo your changes or create a new assessment from scratch.
