How to Create a Video AI Custom Question in Testlify

Creating a Video AI custom question in Testlify allows you to enhance assessments with AI-driven interviews. Follow these steps to create a Video AI custom question

Access the Question Creation Feature

While creating or editing an assessment, navigate to the Video AI Question creation section.

Select AI Avatar and AI Voice

Choose an AI Avatar to represent the interviewer.
Select an AI Voice that best suits your assessment needs.

Input the Question

Under the Question tab, enter the question you want the AI interviewer to ask the candidate.

Add AI Prompt (Manual or AI-Generated)

You can now add the AI prompt in two ways:

Option A: Write Manually

Enter instructions in the AI Prompt field
Define how the AI should conduct the interview

Option B: Generate with File (New ✨)

Click “Generate with file”

Upload a Job Description (PDF)
(Optional) Add custom instructions
Click Generate

The system will automatically create a structured AI prompt based on the uploaded job description, saving time and improving consistency.

Enable AI Insights (Optional)

Click on the Show Options button.
Enable AI Insights to allow automatic evaluation and scoring of candidate responses.

Enable and Disable Candidate to speak to start the test

Save and Add to Question Cart

Click Save to add the question to the Question Cart.
Once saved, the question will be available for use in your assessment.
