Customizing assessments in Testlify is a straightforward process that allows you to tailor questions to match your specific hiring requirements. Below is a detailed guide on how to create and manage custom questions using Testlify's test library.

1. Create a Company Test

  • Log into your Testlify dashboard.

  • Navigate to the "Company Test" section.

  • Click on "Create Company Test."

  • Fill in the required basic details such as test name, test type, description, and any other relevant information.

  • Enter the number of questions you want in the test.

  • Add the skills that will be assessed in this test (e.g., JavaScript, Excel proficiency, etc.).

  • Click on "Next" to proceed.

2. Building Custom Questions

  1. Create Questions from Scratch:

    • You have the option to build custom questions from scratch to fit your specific needs.

    • Excel Questions: Test candidates on their ability to work with Excel spreadsheets.

    • Document Questions: Include tasks that require candidates to work with Word documents.

    • Google Slides Questions: Assess candidates' proficiency in creating and editing presentations using Google Slides.

    • Presentation (PPT) Questions: Evaluate candidates' skills in handling PowerPoint presentations.

These question types allow you to simulate real-world tasks and assess the candidates' practical skills effectively.

  1. Utilize the Testlify Test Library:

    • Navigate to the Testlify Test Library:

      • Within the test creation interface, you’ll find an option to use the Testlify test library.

    • Add Questions:

      • Browse or search the test library by specific skills or topics.

      • View the available questions and select the ones that match your requirements.

    • Edit and Customize Questions:

      • Once you’ve added questions, you can edit them to better fit your assessment needs.

      • Adjust the wording, options, and parameters as necessary.

      • Click on "Select" to add these questions to your test.

3. Managing Candidate Responses

  • Scoring:

    • Scoring is carried out once the candidate has completed the assessment. Only when the candidate selects the correct option will they receive one mark.

    • This score will be accurately reflected in the candidate's final report, giving you clear insight into their performance.

  • Final Report:

    • All candidate responses, including scores for custom questions, will be included in the final report after the candidate has completed the assessment.

    • This report provides a comprehensive overview of the candidate's performance across different question types.

Additional Support

  • Contact Support:

    • If you have any questions or require further assistance, please reach out to the Testlify support team.

By following these steps, you can create comprehensive, customized assessments that are tailored to your specific hiring needs. This ensures that you can effectively evaluate the skills and competencies of your candidates.
