How to Customize Your Candidate Report

Overview

Testlify lets you control exactly which details appear in a candidate report. These settings determine what's visible when a report is shared via link or downloaded as a PDF.

Before you begin

  • You need an existing assessment. See How to create an assessment if you haven't set one up yet.
  • Report settings apply only to shareable links and PDF reports — not to the internal platform view.

Step 1: Open Assessment Settings

  1. Log in to your Testlify account.
  2. Click the Assessments tab in the top menu.
  3. Select the assessment you want to configure.
  4. In the left sidebar, click Settings.

Step 2: Open the Report Tab

  1. Inside Settings, click the Report tab at the top.

Step 3: Choose What to Display

Toggle each option on or off to control what appears in the candidate report:

  • Show assessment overview — A brief summary of the assessment's purpose and structure.
  • Show candidate information details — The candidate's name, email, and other details. Enable Show hidden information to also include custom or hidden fields.
  • Show candidate AI insights — AI-generated insights about the candidate's performance and behavior.
  • Show AI suggested interview questions — AI-recommended follow-up questions based on the candidate's results.
  • Show performance analytics data — Scores, percentiles, and performance trends.
  • Show assessment summary — An overall performance overview across the entire assessment.

Test-level options

  • Show test section — Enables detailed breakdowns at the test level.
    • Show questions asked within the test — Lists all questions presented to the candidate. Sub-options:
      • Show correct answers — Reveals correct answers (off by default).
      • Show AI insights — AI-generated feedback per question.
      • Pronunciation insights — Pronunciation evaluation (where applicable).

Question-level options

  • Show question section — Insights at the individual question level.
    • Show correct answers
    • Show AI insights
    • Pronunciation insights
  • Show proctoring information & violations — Webcam and mic activity, plus any flagged violations during the test.
  • Show status logs — A timeline of the candidate's session: page switches, time spent, and technical events.

Tip: If you're sharing reports with hiring managers who shouldn't see correct answers, keep Show correct answers turned off at both the test and question level.

Step 4: Save Your Settings

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the Report tab.
  2. Click Save.

Your settings apply to all future candidate reports for this assessment.
