How to Customize Your Candidate Report
Overview
Testlify lets you control exactly which details appear in a candidate report. These settings determine what's visible when a report is shared via link or downloaded as a PDF.
Before you begin
- You need an existing assessment. See How to create an assessment if you haven't set one up yet.
- Report settings apply only to shareable links and PDF reports — not to the internal platform view.
Step 1: Open Assessment Settings
- Log in to your Testlify account.
- Click the Assessments tab in the top menu.
- Select the assessment you want to configure.
- In the left sidebar, click Settings.
Step 2: Open the Report Tab
- Inside Settings, click the Report tab at the top.

Step 3: Choose What to Display
Toggle each option on or off to control what appears in the candidate report:
- Show assessment overview — A brief summary of the assessment's purpose and structure.
- Show candidate information details — The candidate's name, email, and other details. Enable Show hidden information to also include custom or hidden fields.

Tip: If you're sharing reports with hiring managers who shouldn't see correct answers, keep Show correct answers turned off at both the test and question level.
Step 4: Save Your Settings
- Scroll to the bottom of the Report tab.
- Click Save.
Your settings apply to all future candidate reports for this assessment.
