How to Invite Candidates to Your Assessments
Testlify gives you three ways to invite candidates to an assessment: one by one, in bulk via CSV, or through a public link. Choose the method that fits your workflow.
Before you begin
Log in to your Testlify account at app.testlify.com using your business email and OTP. All three methods start from the Assessments tab in your dashboard. Make sure your assessment is already created before proceeding.
When to use each method
- One by one — best for targeted outreach to a small, pre-screened group
- Bulk invite — best for sending to a prepared list of 10 or more candidates
- Public link — best for open or high-volume roles, job boards, and sourcing campaigns where individual invites are not practical
Method 1: Invite candidates one by one
Use this method when inviting a small number of candidates individually, such as after a resume review or recruiter call.
- Go to the Assessments tab in your dashboard.

- Click the assessment name to open its details.

- In the Invite Candidates section, enter the candidate's email address, full name, and any other required fields.

- Click Invite. The candidate receives an email with a unique link to the assessment.

Method 2: Invite candidates in bulk
Use bulk invite to add multiple candidates at once — ideal when you have a prepared list of 10 or more people.
- Go to the Assessments tab in your dashboard.

- Click the assessment name to open its details.
- Click Bulk Invite.

- Prepare a CSV file with candidate email addresses and names. Tip: Download the CSV template from the bulk invite section to avoid formatting errors.

- Upload the CSV file and confirm the candidate details are correct.
- Click Import. All candidates in the file receive an email with their unique assessment link.
Method 3: Share a public link
A public link lets anyone take the assessment without a personal email invitation — ideal for open roles, careers pages, job boards, and referral campaigns. Share it via your careers page, job boards, social media, email, or referral networks.
- Go to the Assessments tab in your dashboard.
- Click the assessment name to open its details.
- Navigate to the Public Link section.
- Copy the public link and share it wherever candidates will see it.

To create, edit, or set an expiration for your public link, see: How to Create and Add a Public Link.
