Create and Share a Public Assessment Link

A public link lets you invite candidates to an assessment without sending individual email invites — ideal for open roles, referral programs, or embedding on your careers page.

Before you begin

Make sure you have already created an assessment. Public links are configured at the assessment level.

Create and share a public link

1. Open your assessment and go to the Invite tab.
2. Under Candidate Invite, click Manage Public Link.
3. Testlify redirects you to Settings. Click the Access tab.
4. Scroll down to the Public Links section and click Add.
5. Enter a name for the link and set a link expiration date and time, then click Add to generate the link.
6. The link appears in the table. Click the copy icon to copy it, then share it with your candidates.

Tip: You can edit or delete any link at any time from the Public Links table. Create multiple links to track different sourcing channels — for example, one for your careers page and one for a job board.

Candidate experience

When a candidate opens the public link, they complete a two-step verification before starting the assessment:

1. Enter their name and email address.
2. Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to their email address.

OTP verification ensures only authenticated candidates can access the assessment.
