Introduction

In Testlify, managing settings efficiently is key to ensuring a smooth experience for both administrators and candidates. Testlify offers two levels of settings: Workspace Settings that apply to your entire workspace, and Assessment-Level Settings that are specific to individual assessments.

This guide will walk you through the differences between these settings and how they can be customized to suit your needs.

Workspace Settings

Workspace settings apply at the workspace level, meaning that any configuration made here will reflect across the entire workspace. These settings are foundational and apply to all assessments under your workspace.

List of Workspace Settings

  • Profile: Manage your personal information and preferences.

  • Workspace: Configure workspace details for your organization.

  • Appearance: Customize the appearance of your workspace.

  • Notifications: View candidate related notifications.

  • Labels: Organize and categorize items for better visibility.

  • Users: Add new users and view existing users.

  • Roles and Permissions: Define roles and assign permissions for team members.

  • SAML SSO (New): Enable Single Sign-On for simplified login.

  • API Key: Generate API keys for integrations with other tools.

  • Integrations (Beta): Connect Testlify with other ATS platforms.

  • Webhooks: Set up webhooks for real-time notifications.

  • Domain: Configure a custom domain for your workspace.

  • SMTP Mail: Set up custom SMTP settings for email notifications.

  • Support: Set up your company support email.

Assessment-Level Settings

Assessment-Level Settings are specific to individual assessments. These settings allow you to customize the experience for each assessment independently.

For example, settings for the 'Full-Stack Developer' assessment would only apply to that particular assessment and not the entire workspace.

List of Assessment-Level Settings

  • Configuration: Customize the general settings for an assessment.

  • Proctoring: Enable relevant proctoring features to monitor candidates.

  • Access: Select assessment expiry date and Manage candidates' access to the assessment.

  • Integration: Configure integrations specific to the assessment.

  • Welcome Video: Add customized content/Upload a video to welcome candidates.

  • Completion: Customize completion settings.

  • Information: Set general information and add additional fields to the assessment.

  • Grading: Configure candidate grading.

  • Report: Customize how reports are generated for the assessment.

Additionally, settings like Assessment Questions, Assessment Duration, and Assessment Score also fall under assessment-level configurations. These settings allow further control over the content, time, and scoring of your specific assessments.
