Mouse out tracking is an essential feature to enhance the security of online assessments. It tracks when a candidate moves their mouse out of the assessment window, ensuring that their attention remains focused on the test. With this feature, administrators can monitor suspicious behavior and receive detailed logs of any potential test violations.

Step-by-Step Guide to Enable Mouse Out Tracking

  • Login to Your Workspace- Visit app.testlify.com and log in using your registered email ID and OTP.

  • Select the Assessment- Click on the name of the assessment for which you'd like to enable Mouse Out Tracking.

  • Edit the Assessment- Click on the "Edit" button to modify the assessment settings.

  • Navigate to Settings and Proctoring- On the assessment setup page, click on "Settings" and select the "Proctoring" tab.

  • Enable Mouse Out Tracking- Select the option for Mouse Out Tracking and set the tolerance limit in seconds to define how long the system will allow the mouse to be out of the window before it's flagged. Don't forget to save your settings.

How to View Mouse Out Tracking Logs

  • Open the Candidate's Result- Click on the candidate's name to view their assessment details.

  • Scroll to Proctoring- On the candidate’s result page, scroll down until you reach the Proctoring section.

  • View Logs- Look for the 'Mouse Out Proctor Violation' entry and click on "View Logs."

  • Access Detailed Logs- You will be redirected to the logs page, where you can review the exact times and activities associated with mouse-out events during the assessment.

How Does Mouse Out Tracking Work?

Once enabled, Mouse Out Tracking automatically monitors the candidate during the assessment. If the candidate moves the mouse out of the test window, the system detects this and logs it under the candidate's report page as a potential violation.

Mouse out tracking is an effective tool for ensuring test security and preventing candidates from looking for answers outside the test window. It offers detailed insights into candidate behavior and helps maintain the integrity of assessments.
