How to Enable and Customize the Honesty Agreement
The Honesty Agreement prompts candidates to acknowledge their commitment to integrity before starting an assessment. Enabling it sets clear expectations and helps you trust evaluation results in hiring decisions.
Before you begin
You need an existing assessment to configure. Open it from Assessments before proceeding.
Enable the Honesty Agreement
- Open the assessment you want to configure.
- Go to Assessment Settings and select the Proctoring section.
- Toggle the Honesty Agreement option on.

To disable it, toggle it off from the same Proctoring section.
What the Default Agreement Covers
The default text addresses two key points:
- Maintaining a fair and transparent evaluation process.
- The candidate's commitment to integrity throughout the assessment.
Customize the Agreement Text
Edit the agreement to match your organization's policies and language:
- Click into the Agreement Content field and update the text.
- Click Reset to default to restore the original text at any time.

Tip: Keep the agreement concise. A short, clear statement is easier for candidates to read and acknowledge quickly.
How Candidates See the Agreement
When a candidate launches the assessment:
- The Honesty Agreement screen appears immediately, before any test questions.
- The candidate must click Agree and continue to proceed — this step is mandatory and cannot be skipped.

Requiring explicit acknowledgment builds transparency and trust in your hiring process.
