How to Create and Add a Public Link

Creating a public link for your assessment on Testlify is simple and efficient. This option allows you to invite candidates without sending individual email invites — ideal for open roles, referral drives, or sharing on your careers page.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Create an Assessment

Start by creating your assessment as you normally would.

2. Access the Public Link Settings

  • Once the assessment is created, go to the Invite page
  • Under the Candidate Invite section, click on Manage Public Link

  • You’ll be redirected to the assessment Settings section
  • Click on the Access tab at the top

3. Add a Public Link

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Public links section
  • Click on the Add button

  • Enter a name for the link
  • Set the link expiration by choosing a custom expiry date and time
  • Click Add to generate the link
  • You can also edit and delete the link from this menu if needed

4. Share the Public Link

  • Once created, you’ll see the generated link listed in the table
  • Click the copy icon to copy and share it with your candidates

Candidate Experience

When a candidate opens the public link:

  • They must enter their name and email address

  • They will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) at the entered email

  • After successfully entering the OTP, they can begin the assessment
