The Domain Restriction feature gives administrators the ability to restrict specific email domains from receiving email invites to assessments. Whether you want to block public domains like Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook, or specific corporate domains, this feature offers the flexibility to create a controlled and secure invitation process.

How to Use the Domain Restriction Feature

Follow these steps to set up and use the Domain Restriction feature:

  1. Access Assessment Settings

    • Log in to your Testlify account.

    • Navigate to the assessment you wish to manage.

    • Click on the Settings tab and navigate to the Access settings, under which you will be able to see Domain restriction.

  1. Specify Restricted Domains

    • You will see 2 options where you can allow/disallow domains. Once you select either of the options you will see a Add button underneath. Enter the domains you want to restrict in the provided field.

    • For example, if you want to block public domains, you can input: gmail.com, yahoo.com, outlook.com.

    • You can also add specific domains, such as a competitor’s corporate domain: example.com.

    • Save the changes to activate the restrictions.

  2. Send Invites

    • When inviting candidates, the system will automatically prevent email invites from being sent to the restricted domains.

    • If a restricted domain is detected, you will be notified during the invitation process.

    • Pop-Up Message: If you attempt to send an invite to a restricted domain, a pop-up message will appear on the screen, informing you about the restriction.
