Enable OTP Verification for Private Invites

OTP (One-Time Password) verification adds a security layer to private assessment invites — only candidates who confirm their email identity can start the test.

Before you begin

You need an active Testlify workspace with at least one assessment already created.

Enable OTP verification

  1. Log in to your workspace at app.testlify.com.

  2. Select the assessment you want to protect with OTP verification.

  3. Click Edit on the assessment.

  4. Open the Settings tab, then click Pages.

  5. Under Pages, find Verification code and check the box to enable it.

  6. Click Save.

How candidates complete OTP verification

Once OTP is enabled, candidates go through these steps every time they open the assessment link:

  1. Click the assessment link to reach the registration page.

  2. Enter their name and email address.

  3. Open the OTP email, then enter the code on the verification page.

Tip: If the OTP doesn't appear in the inbox, check the Spam or Junk folder. It can take up to 5 minutes to arrive.

  4. Click Confirm Code to verify identity and start the assessment.
