Welcome to Testlify! This guide will walk you through the onboarding process to help you get started with creating assessments, managing candidates, and leveraging all the platform's features efficiently.

Step 1: Account Setup

1.1 Create an Account
Visit Testlify’s website and click on “Sign Up.” Fill in your details or sign up using your existing business account credentials (e.g., Google, Microsoft).

1.2 Set Up Your Workspace
Once your account is created, you’ll be prompted to set up your workspace. The workspace is where you’ll create and manage your assessments and collaborate with your team.

  • Enter a workspace name that reflects your company or team.

  • Invite team members who will help manage or create assessments. This can be done directly from the Users under the "Settings" section.

Step 2: Navigating the Dashboard

The Testlify dashboard is your central hub for all activities. Here's what you will find:

  • Assessments: Create, customize, and manage assessments.

  • Candidates: Monitor candidate progress, view results, and analyze data.

  • Reports: Generate detailed reports on test outcomes.

  • Analytics: Track the performance of your assessments and candidates in real time using built-in analytics tools.
    You can:

    • View detailed insights into candidate performance trends.

    • Analyze the time taken for each section or question.

    • Identify strengths and areas for improvement across multiple assessments.

Step 3: Creating Your First Assessment

3.1 Start an Assessment
Go to the Assessments tab and click “Create New Assessment.” You can:

  • Choose from predefined templates based on industry standards.

  • Customize by adding questions from the Test Library.

3.2 Select the Right Questions
You can browse through different categories in the Test Library, which offers a wide range of questions related to various skills like technical, cognitive, and soft skills. You can:

  • Search for topics relevant to your role.

  • Add questions to the assessment.

  • Customize test difficulty (e.g., basic, intermediate, or advanced).

3.3 Set Test Parameters
After selecting questions, configure the assessment settings:

  • Time Limits: Define time for the entire assessment or individual sections.

  • Candidate Instructions: Add specific guidelines or notes for candidates.

Step 4: Inviting Candidates

Once your assessment is ready, invite candidates to take the test.
Click on “Invite Candidates” and enter their email addresses.

Step 5: Viewing Results and Reports

After the candidates have completed the assessment:

  • Navigate to the Candidates tab to view their progress.

  • Use the Reports feature to generate a detailed overview of the candidate's performance, including individual question scores, time taken, and more.

Reports can be downloaded or shared as a PDF with your team or client.
