Previewing an assessment from the candidate’s perspective is a great way to ensure everything is set up correctly before sending it out. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of taking an assessment as a candidate, allowing you to experience the same steps your candidates will follow when completing the test. This ensures that the questions, settings, and proctoring configurations meet your expectations.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Login to Your Testlify Account
Sign in to your Testlify account and navigate to the "Assessments" tab.

  2. Select the Assessment
Choose the assessment you want to preview as a candidate from the list of available assessments.

  3. Click on ‘Preview’
Within the assessment details page, click on the option to "Preview" to view the test in the same format that your candidates will experience.

  4. Complete the Assessment
As you preview, you can answer the questions, interact with different question types (e.g., multiple choice, open-ended, coding challenges), and go through any proctoring settings that have been enabled.

  5. Review the Results
Once you finish the assessment, you will be able to see the results just as a candidate would.

  6. Understand Proctoring & Restrictions
Experience any proctoring settings you’ve enabled, such as tab-switching restrictions, or full-screen mode, to ensure they meet your expectations.

Important Note:

If any internal user who is already added to the workspace takes the assessment as a candidate, no candidate credit will be charged. Credits are only deducted when an external candidate enrolls for an assessment.

By previewing the assessment like a candidate, you can verify that everything is set up properly and ready for your candidates to take the test seamlessly.
