Advanced Proctoring: Screen Recording and Violation Markers

Overview

Testlify’s Advanced Proctoring feature helps you monitor candidates during an assessment by recording their entire screen. It also makes it easier to review potential violations with red markers on the screen recording’s progress bar, helping you quickly locate the relevant moments.

How Does It Work?

When Screen Recording is enabled under Advanced Proctoring, the candidate’s entire screen is recorded during the assessment.

If a violation is detected, a corresponding red marker appears on the screen recording’s progress bar. These markers help you identify the exact point in the recording where the violation occurred without having to watch the entire video.

How to Review a Violation

  1. Open the candidate’s assessment details.
  2. Access the candidate’s screen recording.
  3. Look for the red markers on the video progress bar.
  4. Click the marker to jump directly to the relevant point in the recording.
  5. Review the surrounding activity to better understand what happened.

Benefits

  • Save time: Jump directly to the moments that need attention instead of watching the entire recording.
  • Easy navigation: Use the red markers to locate potential violations quickly.
  • Better review: Examine the candidate’s screen activity around the time of a violation.
  • Simplified monitoring: Review screen recordings more efficiently during candidate evaluation.

Make Candidate Reviews Easier

With Advanced Proctoring, Testlify helps you review candidate activity more efficiently. Enable screen recording to capture the candidate’s screen during the assessment, then use the red violation markers to quickly navigate to the relevant moments and make your review process easier.
