Use AI-suggested competencies and scoring criteria in Testlify
When you create a question in Testlify, AI can suggest competencies and scoring criteria based on your question content, so you don't have to write them from scratch. This works in two places:
- AI insights, where suggestions are competencies the AI evaluates in the candidate's response.
- Criteria scoring, where suggestions are criteria you score the response against.
AI insights
Choose your insights language
When you select the AI insights checkbox, the Insights language option appears at the top of the AI insights section. Leave it on Default to use your workspace language, or choose another language.
Get suggested competencies
When you enable AI insights, Testlify automatically suggests and adds competencies based on your question and your selected workspace language.
To get new suggestions at any time, click Suggest next to the Competency field. Suggestions appear in the AI suggestions panel.

Competencies you have already added won't appear in the suggested list again.
Criteria scoring
Get suggested criteria
When you select Criteria scoring, Testlify automatically suggests and adds relevant criteria based on your question, instead of showing only a static list.
To get new suggestions at any time, click Suggest in the Criteria section. Suggestions appear in the AI suggestions panel, where each chip shows the criterion name and its score (for example, Teamwork, 5 score). You can use the same panel actions as in AI insights: +, Add all, Replace all, Regenerate, and X.
Criteria you have already added won't appear in the suggested list again.
