Gamified Assessments

Testlify now offers Gamified Assessments that provide candidates with an engaging and interactive testing experience through simulation-based scenarios. These assessments are available in the Test Library and are ready to use.

How to Add a Gamified Test

  1. Create a new assessment or open an existing one.
  2. Navigate to the Tests tab.
  3. Under Test Type, select Gamified.
  4. Browse and select the gamified test you'd like to include in your assessment.
  5. Click Add.

We currently have a few gamified tests available in the library, and more will be added over time.

Configure the Test Duration

Once you've added the test:

  1. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the test card.
  2. Select the completion time that best suits your hiring process.
  3. If you're happy with the default duration, you can leave it unchanged.

Complete the Assessment Setup

After adding the gamified test:

  1. Configure the remaining assessment settings (invitation, proctoring, scoring, etc.).
  2. Save or publish the assessment.
  3. Invite your candidates as usual.

Candidate Experience

When candidates launch the assessment, they'll experience a fully interactive simulation instead of a traditional question-and-answer format. The assessment includes:

  • Interactive scenarios and simulations.
  • Engaging characters and story-based interactions.
  • Clear instructions displayed before the assessment begins.
  • A realistic environment designed to evaluate skills in an immersive way.

Candidates can easily follow the on-screen instructions to complete the assessment.

Preview Before Sending

You can preview the gamified assessment at any time before inviting candidates. This allows you to review the simulation, instructions, and overall candidate experience to ensure it meets your requirements.

Note:

When you add a Gamified Test to an assessment, the Invitation page displays the list of tests included in the assessment. For gamified tests, the question count may appear as 0 Questions. This is expected behavior. Since gamified assessments are simulation-based, the actual number of questions is displayed to the candidate just before the assessment begins, after they launch the test. Candidates will see the correct question count before starting the simulation.
