Reviewer Portal

The Reviewer Portal lets you assign human reviewers to score candidate responses for specific questions in your assessment. Reviewers log in to a dedicated portal, see only the candidates assigned to them, and submit scores and feedback directly inside Testify.

This article covers:

⦁ How the Reviewer Portal is configured when building an assessment

⦁ How reviewers access and use their portal

⦁ How to export scoring results as a CSV report

Part 1: Setting Up Reviewer Access on a Question

Before reviewers can score candidates, you must enable manual review on the relevant questions during assessment setup.

Step 1 – Open the Question Options

When adding or editing a question in the Questions step of assessment setup, scroll down and click Show options to expand the advanced settings.

Step 2 – Enable “Requires manual review from reviewer”

Under the scoring settings you will see a checkbox labelled Requires manual review from reviewer (marked New). Check this box to activate reviewer-based scoring for that question.

Step 3 – Set Reviewer Access for Scoring

Once manual review is enabled, a Reviewer access for scoring section appears below. You can scope access in two ways:

Team – Select a team from your workspace. All members of that team will be able to score this question in the Reviewer Portal.

Individual – Select specific team members to limit access to named reviewers only.

You will also see two optional checkboxes:

⦁  Display AI scores to the reviewer – Shows the AI-generated score alongside the candidate’s answer so the reviewer can use it as a reference point.

Include AI score in the final average – Blends the AI score into the overall score calculation when reviewers submit their own score.

Part 2: Configuring Assessment Settings for the Reviewer Portal

After adding your questions, navigate to the Settings step of assessment setup. Under the Reviewer tab in the top navigation, you can configure how the Reviewer Portal behaves for this specific assessment.

In this tab you can define which reviewers are assigned to the assessment and manage high-level portal preferences. The assessment name shown to reviewers defaults to the assessment name you entered in the Basic setup step.

Part 3: Accessing the Reviewer Portal

The Reviewer Portal is a separate view that reviewers use to score candidates. There are two ways to reach it.

Option A – Via the Assessment Dashboard

  1. Open the assessment from your Assessments list.
  2. In the assessment dashboard, locate the Review candidate’s score section.
  3. Click the link to open the Reviewer Portal for that assessment.

Option B – Direct URL

Each assessment has a unique Reviewer Portal URL in the format:

app.testify.com/assessment//reviewer/

Reviewers can bookmark this URL for direct access without navigating through the main Testify interface.

Part 4: Using the Reviewer Portal

When a reviewer opens the Reviewer Portal they see a Candidates list filtered to only the candidates assigned to them.

Filtering and Navigation

The portal header shows:

Select reviewer – An admin can switch the view to see another reviewer’s queue.

Assessment name – A dropdown that switches between assessments if the reviewer is assigned to more than one.

Group by – Lets reviewers group the candidate list by Candidate, Question, or other dimensions.

Status filter – Toggle between Pending (not yet scored) and Done (already scored).

Scoring a Candidate

  1. Click on a candidate row to open their individual scoring view.
  2. The left sidebar shows tabs: Information, Tests, Questions, Feedback, Comments, and Logs.
  3. Navigate to the Tests or Questions tab to see the candidate’s responses.
  4. For AI Interview responses you can read the full conversation transcript and see Answer Insights – a breakdown of competency scores such as Communication skills, Problem-solving ability, and Adaptability, each shown as a percentage and an AI-generated summary.
  5. Enter a numeric score in the Score field and click Review & Set Score to save.

Part 5: Score Report and CSV Export

Once reviewers have submitted scores you can export the results for reporting or further analysis.

Generating a Score Report

  1. Open the Reviewer Portal for the assessment.
  2. Click the Score report button in the portal header.
  3. The exported file contains one row per question response and includes the following columns:

  2. Click Teams.
  3. Click Add team to create a new team, or click the ⋯ menu next to an existing team and select Edit to rename it or change its members.
