Force Complete Assessment
Sometimes candidates open an assessment but do not properly submit it, leave questions unanswered, or exit midway. In such cases, the assessment may remain in an “In Progress” state even though you want to evaluate the candidate.
The Force Complete feature allows you to manually mark an assessment as completed and generate the report based on the responses submitted so far.
Why use Force Complete?
This feature is particularly useful when:
- A candidate exits the assessment without submitting it
- The candidate skips multiple questions but still triggers a partial submission
- Technical issues prevent proper submission
- You want to proceed with evaluation using available responses
How to Force Complete an Assessment
Method 1: From Candidate List
- Go to Candidates
- Locate the candidate with status In Progress
- Click on the three-dot menu (⋯) next to the candidate

- Select Force complete
- Click Confirm

Method 2: From Candidate Attempt Page
- Open the candidate’s assessment attempt
- Click on the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner
- Select Force complete
- Click Confirm

What happens after Force Complete?
- The candidate’s status changes to Completed (Forced)

- A report is generated based on attempted questions
- Unanswered questions are treated as incorrect
- The assessment is locked and cannot be resumed by the candidate
Important Notes
- This action cannot be undone
- Candidates will not be able to continue the assessment after it is force completed
- Use this only when you are certain the candidate will not resume the test
When should you avoid using this?
- If the candidate is still actively taking the test
- If you expect the candidate to complete remaining questions
- If the issue can be resolved by asking the candidate to retry
This feature ensures you don’t lose evaluation data and can move forward with hiring decisions even when assessments are not properly submitted.
