Set Ideal Profile for PicOCEAN Personality Test

The PicOCEAN Personality Test now allows you to define an Ideal Personality Profile for a role. This helps compare a candidate’s personality traits against the preferred trait ranges and include the result in the overall assessment score.

With this feature, recruiters can set target ranges for OCEAN traits and evaluate how closely candidates match the desired personality profile.

What is the PicOCEAN Ideal Profile?

The Ideal Profile lets you define preferred ranges for the five PicOCEAN traits:

  • Openness (O)
  • Conscientiousness (C)
  • Extraversion (E)
  • Agreeableness (A)
  • Navigability (N)

Each trait can have a low and high range (0–100) that represents the ideal score for the role.

Candidates whose scores fall within the defined ranges receive full points for that trait.

Scoring Logic

The PicOCEAN test now contributes to the overall assessment score.

Trait Scoring

Each trait contributes 20% to the total PicOCEAN score.

  • If a candidate's score falls within the defined rangeFull score (20%)
  • If it falls outside the range0% (currently)

(Future updates may calculate partial scores based on closeness to the range.)

Example

If a candidate matches 3 out of 5 traits, their PicOCEAN score would be:

3 × 20% = 60%

Changing PicOCEAN Weight in Assessment Scoring

Previously, psychometric tests had 0% weight in the overall score.

Once an Ideal Profile is set, you can modify the weight.

Steps

  • Go to Assessment Settings.
  • Open Configuration.
  • Navigate to Scoring Preference.
  • Select Weight Based Scoring.

  • Edit the PicOCEAN test weight.

This allows the PicOCEAN test to impact the final candidate score.

Candidate Report View

When candidates complete the PicOCEAN test, the report will now show:

  • Ideal trait range

This visual chart helps quickly identify whether a candidate’s personality aligns with the expected profile.

Example visualization includes:

When to Use Ideal Profiles
