How to Edit Existing Test Library Tests

This article explains how you can edit an existing test from the Testlify Test Library and customize it as per your requirements.

Note: Library tests cannot be edited directly. You must first make a copy of the test and then edit the copied version.

Steps to Edit a Test Library Test

1. Go to the Test Library

  • Log in to your workspace.
  • Navigate to the Library Tests tab.
  • Browse or search for the test you want to customize.

2. Make a Copy of the Test

  • Click on the three-dot (⋮) option next to the test.
  • Select Make a Copy.
  • A duplicate version of the test will be created in your workspace.

3. Edit the Copied Test

  • Locate the copied test.
  • Click on the three-dot (⋮) option again.
  • Select Edit.

You can now edit this test just like a company-created test, including:

  • Adding or removing questions
  • Editing existing questions
  • Updating question difficulty, skills, or question types
  • Adjusting test settings as needed

4. Save Your Changes

  • Once you’ve made the required changes, save the test.
  • The edited test is now ready to be used in your assessments.

Important Points to Remember

  • Original library tests remain unchanged.
  • Only the copied version can be edited.
