Understanding Proctoring Flags in Testlify

Testlify’s AI-powered Advanced Video Proctoring ensures fairness and integrity in every assessment. During test sessions, the system monitors candidate behavior and assigns a Proctoring Flag based on detected activities.

Here’s what each flag means:

🟢 Green Flag — No Violation

Meaning:

The test-taker completed the assessment smoothly without any suspicious activity.

Conditions:

  • Zero violations detected across all proctoring checks.
  • No signs of unusual behavior or unauthorized assistance.

🟡 Yellow Flag — Potential Violation

Meaning:

Some unusual behavior was observed, but no confirmed cheating occurred. This may include leaving the test area, background noise, or inconsistent movement.

Conditions:

  • Other minor proctoring violations detected.

Recommendation:

A quick manual review of the test recording is advised to ensure authenticity.

🔴 Red Flag — Violation

Meaning:

Confirmed cheating was detected during the test.

Conditions:

  • No face detected in Advanced Video Proctoring (more than 3 instances).
  • Multiple faces detected (more than 3 instances).
  • Another person’s face detected (more than 3 instances).
  • Use of AI plugins detected.
  • External copy-paste activity found (greater than 0).

Recommendation:

The candidate’s session should be reviewed and possibly invalidated.

Note:

All proctoring data is securely captured and can be reviewed through session recordings and violation logs for full transparency.
