Enable Photo ID Verification in Assessments
Photo ID Verification is a new proctoring feature that adds an additional layer of candidate authentication. With this enabled, candidates are required to upload a valid photo ID before starting their assessment.
When this feature is enabled, candidates will be prompted to upload a government-issued ID (e.g., passport, driver’s license, national identity card) for verification.
Important:
Only government-issued IDs are accepted.
IDs such as college ID cards, organization ID badges, or other unofficial documents will not be considered valid and may result in a failed verification attempt.
This ensures a consistent and secure identity verification process across all regions.
Purpose
This feature ensures:
- Stronger identity verification
- Reduced chances of impersonation or fraud
- Extra confidence in candidate authenticity
⚠️ Note: This feature is chargeable at $0.5 per attempt.
The $0.5 charge applies per candidate per assessment attempt.
- If a candidate attempts the same assessment multiple times, each attempt will be charged separately.
- If the same candidate takes different assessments, each attempt in each assessment is also charged.

- Navigate to your Assessment.
- Go to Settings → Proctoring.
- Under proctoring options, enable Photo ID verification ($0.5 per attempt).

- Photo ID Verification Step – Candidate is prompted to capture and upload their ID.
Viewing Candidate ID in Reports
- After the assessment is completed, the candidate’s submitted ID will appear in the Proctoring tab of their report.
- Alongside the candidate’s photo, you will now also see their Photo ID snapshot.
