Our "Additional Assessment Attempts" feature allows you to grant extra attempts to individual candidates without having to resend the invite or duplicate the assessment. It’s a quick and flexible way to ensure a fair testing experience.
How to Provide Additional Attempts to a Candidate
Follow the steps below to set additional attempts for a specific candidate:
Log in to your workspace:
Locate the candidate:
Either open the assessment where the candidate is listed, or search for the candidate by name directly in the Candidates tab—as shown in the screenshot.
Click on the three dots (⋮) next to the candidate’s entry.
Select "Set attempts" from the dropdown menu.
Enter the number of additional attempts you’d like to allow for the candidate.
- Click Set. The candidate will now be able to access the assessment again.

1. Will the candidate receive a new invite email after I add more attempts?
No, the candidate can use the same assessment link to retake the test. There is no need to resend the invite.
2. What happens to the candidate’s previous attempts?
All previous attempts are retained and can be reviewed in the candidate's assessment history.
3. Can I limit the number of additional attempts?
Yes, you can set the number of additional attempts based on your requirement—whether it's just one more try or several.
4. Can I remove or reduce attempts once they are set?
No, once additional attempts are set and the candidate has started using them, they cannot be revoked. Please ensure you set the appropriate number of attempts.
5. Will the system automatically grade all attempts?
Yes, all submitted attempts will be auto-graded, and you can review scores individually.
