If a candidate's invite link is broken or edited, they can still access their assessment by entering their access code directly on the candidate portal.

• Find the candidate's invite link from your assessment dashboard.
• The access code is the last segment of the invite URL. For example, in https://candidate.testlify.com/invite/dxdpvyixr, the access code is dxdpvyixr.

Why a candidate may land on the wrong page

If a candidate sees the generic Join via Access Code page at candidate.testlify.com instead of their specific assessment, it is usually because:

• They accidentally edited or shortened the invite link.
• They were redirected to the generic portal instead of their specific assessment.

How to join using an access code

1. Open the Candidate Portal

   Direct the candidate to candidate.testlify.com.

2. Enter the access code

   Type the access code into the field. The code is the final segment of the original invite link — for example, dxdpvyixr.

   

3. Click "Join"

   The candidate is redirected to their assessment automatically.

   

Best practice

To prevent access issues, resend the original invite link from your dashboard. This routes the candidate directly to their assessment without requiring manual code entry.
