Enable AI-Suggested Interview Questions

The AI-Suggested Interview Questions feature analyzes a candidate's assessment responses and automatically generates personalized follow-up questions — giving your hiring team a head start on structured, data-driven interviews.

Before you begin

• You need edit access to Assessment Settings for the relevant assessment.
• The feature is off by default and must be enabled individually for each assessment.

Enable AI-Suggested Interview Questions

1. Open the assessment and go to Assessment Settings.
2. Click the Config tab.
3. Toggle on AI-Suggested Interview Questions.

Tip: You can enable this setting at any time — before sending invites or after candidates have already completed the assessment.

How it works

Once enabled, the AI reviews the candidate's responses across all tests in the assessment and generates tailored interview questions for your hiring team to use at the interview stage.

Where to find the suggested questions

AI-generated questions are available in three places after the feature is enabled:

• Candidate Display Page (CDP) — view alongside the candidate's full profile
• Shareable Link — share directly with interviewers who don't have a Testlify account
• Candidate Report PDFs — download or attach to hiring documents

Best practices

• Use AI-generated questions as a starting point — review and adapt them to the role before each interview.
• Combine with your own custom questions to build a complete interview framework.
• If you plan to share the candidate report externally, decide in advance which questions should remain internal.
