🧠 AI Insights for Candidate Reports
Testlify introduces AI Insights, a powerful new feature that generates actionable feedback on candidate performance using AI. Available across all tests and selected custom question types, AI Insights helps hiring teams make better decisions and provides candidates with valuable input to improve their skills.
📌 What are AI Insights?
AI Insights are automatically generated summaries and evaluations based on how a candidate performs in an assessment. These insights are shown in the Candidate Display Page (CDP) and Shareable Report Links, and include:
- ✅ A short performance summary
- 👍 Pros (Strengths)
- 👎 Cons (Areas of improvement)
- 🔁 Regenerate button
- ❤️ Like/Dislike feedback buttons
🔧 How to Enable AI Insights
Phase 1: For Employers (CDP & Shareable Report)
- Navigate to Assessment Settings → Configuration tab
Enable the “AI Insights” checkbox
Phase 2: For Candidates (Email Reports)
Go to Assessment Settings → Reports
Check “Show candidate AI insights”
AI Insights are generated when:
- Sending an automatic results email to all candidates
- Sending individual results manually
🔄 When AI Insights Are Generated
- On the first visit to the CDP or Shareable report
- When score updates are made
- When "Regenerate" is clicked manually
A loader saying “Generating AI Insights…” will appear during this process.
✍️ What Insights Are Based On
AI insights focus on:
- Test-level and skill-level scores
- Custom questions and answers added by recruiters
- Patterns in performance across multiple areas
Insights are text-only and meant to be actionable and easy to interpret.

🧪 Current Status
- Supported: All Test Types + Selected Custom Questions
- Not yet supported: Other future custom input types (expanding soon)
- In Beta: Feature is being actively improved with recruiter feedback
