How to Extend the Expiration Date of an Invitation


You can now extend the expiration date of a candidate's test invitation directly from the Candidates page. This feature is helpful when a candidate needs additional time to complete their assessment.

📍 Availability

The Set expiration option is available for candidates with the following statuses:

  • Invited
  • Invitation expired


    🔒 This option will not appear for candidates in other statuses like "Completed" or "Terminated."

🧍 How to Set or Extend Expiration for an Individual Candidate

  1. Go to the Candidates section of your assessment.
  2. Find the candidate you wish to update.
  3. Click the three-dot menu (︙) next to the candidate's name.
  4. Select Set expiration from the dropdown.

    A modal will appear where you can:

    • Choose a new expiration date and time
    • Set the appropriate timezone
  5. Click Set to apply the changes.


📦 Set Expiration for Multiple Candidates

You can also update expiration dates in bulk:

  1. Use the checkboxes to select multiple candidates (must be in "Invited" or "Invitation expired" status).
  2. Click the Set Expiration icon in the top action bar.

    A modal will appear:

    • If the selected candidates have different expiration dates, the field will appear blank.
  3. Choose the new date, time, and timezone.
  4. Click Set to apply the changes to all selected candidates.


🔍 Where to View Expiration Details

The updated expiration date will be visible in the Expiration Date column on the Candidates page.

✅ Tips

  • Ensure you set a reasonable deadline based on your hiring process.
  • If you resend an invitation after changing the expiration, the new date will apply.
  • If a candidate's status changes to “Started” or “Completed,” the expiration can no longer be edited.
