How to Set Up Question Configuration in Testlify's Company Test

While creating a company test, you can customize the question configuration for their tests. This feature provides five configuration options that control how questions are displayed and loaded based on different criteria, such as skill, question type, difficulty, or a custom count. This article walks you through how to configure the question count for candidates in the test settings effectively.

This determines the number of questions presented to the candidate while taking the test.

Steps to Configure Question Settings:

  • Creating a Company Test: Navigate to the Test section and click on Create Company Test. Enter the test name, test type, and covered skills, then add the questions to your test and proceed to the Settings section.

  • Configuration Options: There are five available configuration options. You can only select one at a time:
  1. All (Default): All available questions will be loaded into the test without any restrictions.
  2. Custom Count: Set a custom number of questions for your test, regardless of skill, question type, or difficulty level.
  3. Based on Skills: A table will display all skills, along with the total number of questions for each skill.
  4. Based on Question Type: A table will show all question types (e.g., multiple choice, coding) along with the number of questions for each type.
  5. Based on Difficulty: A table will show the available difficulty levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and the number of questions for each level.

  • Handling Deleted Questions: If a question is deleted after setting the configuration, the question count will be automatically updated to reflect the change.

Conclusion:

By following these steps, you can easily configure the question count for your company tests in Testlify. Whether you're selecting a custom number of questions or organizing them by skill, type, or difficulty. This ensures that you present the right number and type of questions to your candidates, enhancing your testing experience.
