How to Integrate Testlify with Crelate

This guide walks you through integrating Testlify with Crelate so you can send assessments to candidates directly from your Crelate dashboard and automatically sync results back.

Before you begin

• You must have admin access in Testlify to manage workspace integrations.
• You need an active Crelate account with API Access enabled.
• Jobs must be published in Crelate before they appear in Testlify's assessment settings.

Step 1: Enable the Crelate Integration in Testlify

1. In Testlify, go to Settings and click Integrations.
2. From the list of available integrations, select Crelate.

   

   

3. A new tab will open prompting you to enter your Crelate API Key. Keep this tab open and continue to Step 2.

   

Step 2: Retrieve Your API Key from Crelate

1. Log in to your Crelate account using your credentials.
2. Open the navigation menu and select Manage Your Profile & Preferences.

   

3. Navigate to API Access and enable it. Copy the API key displayed on screen.

   

Step 3: Complete the Connection in Testlify

1. Return to the Testlify integration tab.
2. Paste your copied API Key into the provided field, then click Save.
3. A confirmation message will appear indicating Crelate is connected successfully.

   

4. Click Done and refresh the Integrations page. Crelate should now appear as Added and Active.

   

Step 4: Link Crelate to a Specific Assessment

With the workspace connection active, link individual assessments to Crelate job postings so results flow back automatically.

1. In Testlify, click Create Assessment.

   

2. Choose a job role and click Next.

   

3. Add a test from the Test Library and click Next.

   

4. In Assessment Settings, open the Integration module.

   

5. Click Link to open integration options.

   

6. Configure the following fields:
   • ATS: Select Crelate from the dropdown.

     

   • Job Profile: Select the published Crelate job to link to this assessment. Only published jobs appear in this list.

     

   • Invitation Stage and Completion Stage: Select the Crelate pipeline stages that correspond to assessment sent and assessment completed (e.g., Meeting for invitation and Hired for completion).

     

7. Click Save to apply the integration settings to this assessment.

   

Step 5: Invite a Candidate from Crelate

Once the assessment is linked to a Crelate job, invite candidates directly from the Crelate opportunity.

1. Open the candidate record in Crelate. Add the candidate's first name, last name, and email address (email is required).

   

   

   

2. Once the candidate is added, click Select Opportunity.

   

   

   

3. Select the relevant opportunity, then choose the Interviewing stage.

   

   

4. The candidate will receive an assessment invitation email from Testlify automatically.

   

Tip: Once the candidate completes the assessment, results sync back to their Crelate record automatically — your recruiting team has full visibility without leaving Crelate.
