Connect Testlify to Zapier

Use Zapier to automate your hiring workflows — connect Testlify to 6,000+ apps to log candidates in a spreadsheet, send Slack alerts when assessments complete, or trigger invitations from any source. The Zapier integration is available on all paid Testlify plans.

Before you begin

• You must have Admin or Owner access in your Testlify workspace.
• Confirm your Zapier account has access to Testlify — some events require a paid Zapier plan.

Step 1 — Generate your API key in Testlify

1. Log in to your Testlify workspace.
2. Click your profile icon, then go to Settings > API Key.
3. Click Generate Key, then Copy Key.

Important: Copy the API key immediately and store it securely — it will not be shown again after you leave this page.

Step 2 — Enable the Zapier integration in Testlify

1. In Settings, click Integrations.
2. Find Zapier in the list and click Continue.

Step 3 — Create and connect your Zap

1. Log in to your Zapier account and click + Create Zap.
2. Search for Testlify and select it as your app.
3. Choose a trigger or action event (see the options below).
4. Click Connect Testlify, then Sign in.
5. Paste the API key you copied in Step 1, then click Yes, Continue to confirm the connection.

Available triggers and actions

• Trigger — Candidate Started Assessment: Fires when a candidate opens and begins an assessment.
• Trigger — Candidate Completed Assessment: Fires when a candidate submits their assessment.
• Action — Invite Candidate: Sends a Testlify assessment invitation from any connected app.
