Create Your Testlify Account

Testlify is an online talent assessment platform that helps employers evaluate candidates objectively and at scale. Setting up your account takes only a few minutes. This article walks you through the registration process step by step, from signing up to verifying your email, so you can start building assessments right away.

Before you begin

  • You need a work email address on a company domain — for example, yourname@yourcompany.com. Testlify does not accept personal email providers such as Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail, or AOL, nor education-based addresses ending in .edu or .ac. If you need help obtaining a business email, contact support@testlify.com.
  • No password is needed. Testlify uses a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered work email each time you sign in, making it easy and secure to share a workspace with colleagues.

Create your account

You can reach the registration page from two places on the Testlify website:

Both options take you to the same registration form. Complete the following steps:

  1. Enter your first name, last name, and work email address. Testlify automatically covers the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy — there are no extra boxes to check. You can also sign up using your Google or LinkedIn account.
  2. Check your inbox for a 6-digit verification code from Testlify and enter it on the next screen.
  3. Once the code is confirmed, your new Testlify workspace is created and ready to use.

Tip: During your 7-day free trial you have full access to all platform features at no cost. Once the trial ends, you can upgrade to a paid plan at any time from Settings > Billing inside your account.

Verify your email address

After signing up, Testlify sends a verification email to your registered work address within a few minutes. Click the link in that email to complete verification.

Until you verify your email, you will not be able to log back into your account. Once verified, use the OTP sent to your email to sign in each time — no password required.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a personal email address to register?
No. Testlify is a professional hiring platform and requires a business domain email address. Personal providers — Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail, AOL, and similar — are not accepted. Education-based addresses ending in .edu or .ac are also not supported. If your company does not yet have a business email address, contact support@testlify.com and the team will be happy to help.

Can candidates create an account on Testlify?
No. Candidates do not need a Testlify account. The platform is designed for hiring teams: you create an assessment, then either invite specific candidates by email or share a public link for open applications. Candidates click their link and go directly to the test — no sign-up required. If a candidate gets stuck on the login page, they can copy the test link and paste it directly into their browser to access the assessment.

What should I do if I don't receive the verification email?
First, check your Spam or Junk folder — the email may have been filtered there. If you find it, mark it as Not Spam so future Testlify emails reach your inbox. If it is not in spam, ask your network administrator to whitelist the Testlify sending domain. Still having trouble? Contact support@testlify.com and the support team will assist you.
