How to Preview Questions in the Questions Cart

Before publishing your assessment, previewing questions lets you confirm they display correctly and are appropriate for candidates.

Before you begin

Make sure you have an existing assessment to edit, or that you have already created a new one in your Testlify workspace.

Step 1: Open the assessment

1. Log in to your Testlify account.
2. Go to an existing assessment or create a new one.
3. Click Edit on the assessment you want to modify.

Step 2: Navigate to the Questions Cart

1. On the setup page, click Questions.
2. The Questions Cart appears on the right side of the screen.
3. Scroll down to find the question you want to preview.

Step 3: Preview a question

1. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the question.
2. Select Preview from the menu (options: Edit, Preview, Delete, Make a Copy).
3. A preview page opens showing exactly how the question appears to candidates.
4. Click Go back to tests to return to the assessment setup.

Viewing sample questions for a test

You can also preview sample questions for any test directly from the test library before adding it to your assessment.

Tip: Always preview questions after editing them to catch typos, unclear wording, or incorrect answer options before candidates take the test.
