How to Use the Testlify Question Library

The Testlify Question Library is a comprehensive collection of questions spanning multiple skills, difficulty levels, and formats. Use it to quickly build tailored assessments that accurately evaluate your candidates for any role.

Before you begin

You need an active Testlify account with access to the Library section. Contact your workspace admin if this option is not visible.

Open the Question Library

  1. Log in to your Testlify account.
  2. Click Library in the main navigation.
  3. Click Questions to open the Question Library.

Search for questions

  1. Type a keyword into the Search bar at the top of the library.
  2. Browse the results to find questions relevant to your topic or skill area.

Filter questions

Use the filter panel to narrow down the question list:

  • Question type — multiple-choice, open-ended, document-based, and more
  • Language — filter by the language the question is written in
  • Category — focus on a specific skill or subject domain

Review question details

Each question in the library includes the following details:

  • Time estimate — how long a candidate typically takes to complete it
  • Scoring — the points allocated to the question
  • Format — whether it is open-ended, document-based, or another type

Click View to preview the full question before adding it to your assessment.

Add questions to your assessment

  1. Find a question that fits the role you are hiring for.
  2. Click Use to add it directly to your assessment.
  3. Repeat to mix questions across different skills and formats.
  4. Click View first if you want to review the full question details before adding.

Tip: Combine search and filters together — for example, search "communication" and filter by "open-ended" — to rapidly build a targeted, role-specific assessment.
