Enable and Use Snapshot Proctoring

Snapshot Proctoring captures random photos of candidates during an assessment, helping you verify identity and deter dishonesty.

Before you begin

Candidates need a working webcam. They will be prompted to grant camera and microphone access when starting the assessment.

How to enable Snapshot Proctoring

  1. Open your assessment — create a new one or edit an existing one.
  2. Click the Proctoring tab in the assessment settings.
  3. Check the Snapshot Proctoring checkbox to enable it.
  4. (Optional) Adjust the Snapshot Interval. The default is every 120 seconds — lower this for higher-stakes assessments.
  5. Save the assessment. Candidates will see a camera permission prompt when they begin.

How to review snapshots

Once a candidate finishes, go to the Candidate Display page to view all snapshots captured during the session.

Tip: Set the interval to 60 seconds for critical assessments to double coverage with minimal impact on the candidate experience.
