How to Enable and Customize the Honesty Agreement
The Honesty Agreement prompts candidates to confirm their commitment to honest behavior before starting an assessment. This feature sets clear expectations from the outset, protecting the integrity of your evaluation process and ensuring employers can trust the results when making hiring decisions.
Enable the Honesty Agreement
- Open the assessment you want to configure.
- Go to Assessment Settings and navigate to the Proctoring section.
- Toggle the Honesty Agreement option on.

You can disable the Honesty Agreement at any time by toggling it off in the same Proctoring section.
Understand the Default Agreement
The default agreement content is concise and clearly covers two key points:
- The importance of maintaining a fair and transparent evaluation process.
- The candidate's commitment to upholding integrity throughout the assessment.
Customize the Agreement Text
You can edit the agreement content to align with your organization's specific policies and language:
- Click into the Agreement Content field and update the text as needed.
- Click Reset to default to restore the original agreement text at any time.

Tip: Keep your agreement text concise. A short, clear statement is easier for candidates to read and acknowledge before they begin their assessment.
How Candidates Experience the Agreement
When a candidate launches the assessment, here is what they see:
- The Honesty Agreement screen appears immediately, before any test questions are shown.
- The candidate must click Agree and continue to proceed — this step is mandatory and cannot be skipped.

By requiring explicit acknowledgment at the start, the Honesty Agreement helps build a culture of transparency and trust in your candidate evaluations.
