Enable Location Tracking Proctoring for Assessments

The Location Tracking proctoring feature records a candidate's location during an assessment, helping you verify they are taking the test from an approved location.

Enable Location Tracking

1. Open the assessment you want to configure — either create a new one or edit an existing one.
2. In the assessment settings, click the Proctoring tab.

   

3. Under the proctoring options, find and check the Location Tracking checkbox.

   

4. Click Save to apply your changes.

What Happens After Enabling

• The candidate's location is recorded throughout the assessment.
• Once the assessment is complete, the tracked location appears on the Candidate Display Page for your review.

  

Important: VPN Usage

If a candidate connects through a VPN during the assessment, the report will show the VPN's location instead of their actual physical location. Factor this in when reviewing location data.

Tip: For stronger proctoring, combine Location Tracking with Snapshot Proctoring or Screen Recording to build a more complete picture of assessment integrity.
