Configure Workspace and Assessment Settings in Testlify

Testlify provides two levels of settings to give you precise control over your hiring workflow: Workspace Settings that apply globally across your account, and Assessment-Level Settings that are scoped to individual assessments.

Workspace Settings

Workspace settings affect your entire account. Any change made here applies to all assessments and all team members in your workspace.

Access Workspace Settings from the top-right menu. The following options are available:

  • Profile — Manage your personal information and preferences.
  • Workspace — Configure your organization's workspace details.
  • Appearance — Customize the look and feel of your workspace.
  • Notifications — Manage candidate-related notification preferences.
  • Labels — Organize and categorize items for better visibility.
  • Users — Add new users and manage existing team members.
  • Roles and Permissions — Define roles and assign access levels for your team.
  • SAML SSO — Enable Single Sign-On for simplified login across your organization.
  • API Key — Generate API keys for third-party integrations.
  • Integrations (Beta) — Connect Testlify with ATS platforms and recruiting tools.
  • Webhooks — Set up webhooks for real-time event notifications.
  • Domain — Configure a custom domain for your workspace.
  • SMTP Mail — Set up custom SMTP settings for outgoing email notifications.
  • Support — Set your company support email address for candidates.

Assessment-Level Settings

Assessment-Level Settings apply only to a specific assessment. For example, proctoring configured for a Full-Stack Developer assessment does not affect any other assessment in your workspace.

Open any assessment and navigate to its Settings tab. The following options are available:

  • Configuration — Customize the general settings for the assessment.
  • Proctoring — Enable proctoring features to monitor candidates during the test.
  • Access — Set an expiry date and control candidate access to the assessment.
  • Integration — Configure integrations specific to this assessment.
  • Welcome Video — Upload a video or add custom content to greet candidates.
  • Completion — Define what candidates see after completing the assessment.
  • Information — Add general information and custom fields to the assessment.
  • Grading — Set candidate grading criteria for this assessment.
  • Report — Customize how candidate reports are generated and displayed.

Tip: Assessment Questions, Assessment Duration, and Assessment Score are also assessment-level settings — giving you full control over content, time limits, and scoring for each individual test.
