Set Up Candidate Completion Notifications in Testlify

Keep candidates informed the moment they finish their assessment. This guide shows you how to enable, customize, and test the automatic completion email in Testlify.

Steps

1. Open Notification Settings

   Go to Settings > Notifications. The Email Notifications section lists all available notifications — you can enable, disable, or customize each one from here.

   

2. Customize the Completion Email

   Click the three-dot menu next to Completion and select Customize.

   

3. Edit the Subject Line and Body

   Update the subject line and body text as needed. Keep all template tags intact — they auto-fill with each candidate's details at send time.

   

4. Send a Test Email

   Click Send Test Email to preview the message in your inbox before it goes live.

   

5. Save Your Changes

   Once saved, Testlify automatically sends the completion email to every candidate who finishes the assessment.

Disabling the Completion Notification

To turn off the completion email, click the three-dot menu next to Completion and select Disable Email Notification.

Tip: After editing, always send a test email to verify that your template tags render correctly and the message reads as intended.
