How to Transfer Ownership of Your Testlify Account?
Transferring workspace ownership in Testlify gives another team member full administrative control — including the ability to manage users, adjust settings, and access all assessments.
Before you begin
- You must be the current workspace Owner to perform this action.
- The new owner must already be a member of your workspace. If they are not, add them first (see Step 3 below).
Steps
-
Log in to your Testlify account and navigate to Settings in the sidebar or account dropdown menu.
-
In the Settings menu, select the Users tab. This lists all current members of your workspace.

-
If the new owner is not yet in your workspace: Click Add User, enter their name and email address, and send an invitation. They must accept the invitation before you can assign them the Owner role.
-
Locate the new owner's name in the Users list. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to their name to open the action dropdown.

-
From the dropdown, select Change Role.
-
In the role options, choose Owner.

The selected user instantly gains ownership status and full administrative rights across the workspace.
Important notes
- Ownership is transferred immediately — there is no confirmation prompt once you select Owner.
- The new owner gains full access to manage users, adjust billing, and control all workspace settings.
- Tip: Before transferring ownership, notify your team so everyone knows who the new primary administrator is and who to contact for workspace-level changes.
