Copy or Clone an Assessment Between Workspaces

Use Copy/Clone Assessment to duplicate an assessment—including its tests and settings—into any workspace on the same Testlify account. Candidate details and responses are never transferred.

Before you begin

• You must be logged in to the source workspace (the workspace containing the assessment you want to copy).
• The destination workspace must belong to the same Testlify account. Copying across different accounts is not supported.

Steps to copy or clone an assessment

1. Log in to the source workspace.
   Go to app.testlify.com and sign in with your registered email and OTP.
   
2. Find the assessment and open its options menu.
   Navigate to your assessments list. Locate the assessment you want to copy, then click the three-dot menu next to it.
   
3. Select Copy/Clone Assessment.
   In the dropdown, click Copy/Clone Assessment.
4. Choose the destination workspace.
   Enter the name of the workspace where you want to copy the assessment.
   Tip: To duplicate the assessment within the same workspace, simply enter your current workspace name.
5. Click Make a copy.
   Only the assessment structure and settings are copied—no candidate data is transferred.
6. Access the copied assessment in the destination workspace.
   Log in to the destination workspace. The copied assessment appears in your list, ready to use or customize.

Will candidate details or responses be transferred?
No. Only the assessment structure and settings are copied. Candidate data stays in the original workspace.

What if I copy the wrong assessment?
Delete the copied assessment from the destination workspace. The original is not affected.

Can I edit the copied assessment?
Yes. Once copied, the assessment is fully independent and can be customized in the new workspace.

Are all assessment types supported?
Yes—both custom and library-based assessments can be copied.

Can I copy an assessment across accounts with different email IDs?
No. Copying is only supported between workspaces on the same Testlify account.

Can I copy an assessment to the same workspace?
Yes. Enter your current workspace name as the destination to create a duplicate in place.
