Enable and Use AI Insights and AI Auto Score for Open-Ended, Video, and Audio Questions

AI Insights and AI Auto Score automate evaluation of open-ended, video, and audio responses — delivering skill-based scoring and an overall candidate summary without manual review.

Before you begin

  • You must have permission to create or edit assessments in your workspace.
  • Your assessment must include at least one open-ended, video, or audio question.

Enable AI Insights on a question

  1. Open an existing assessment or create a new one, then go to the Questions tab.
  2. Click Custom Question and select Open-Ended, Video, or Audio as the question type.
  3. After adding the question, click Show Options below the question box to expand additional settings.

  4. Enable the Scorable Question & AI Insight checkbox.

  5. In the skills section, define the skills you want the AI to evaluate. Four skills are pre-selected by default — add or remove skills as needed.

  6. Save the question. AI Insights scores will now appear on the Candidate Display Page (CDP) for every submission.

Tip: Use role-specific skills — for example, "Communication clarity" or "Technical accuracy" — to get more actionable scoring for your hiring team.

Enable AI Insights for overall candidate evaluation

AI Insights can also generate an overall evaluation of a candidate's performance across the entire assessment.

  1. Go to the Assessment Settings tab inside your assessment.
  2. Find the Configuration section and enable the Generate AI Insights checkbox.

  3. Once enabled, an overall AI conclusion will appear on the Candidate Results Page for each candidate.
