Adding negative scoring to your assessments can help create more rigorous and precise evaluations. Follow the steps below to add negative scoring to your custom questions in Testlify.

Steps to Add Negative Scoring:

1. Create or Edit an Assessment:

- Navigate to the assessment you want to create or edit.

- Go to the 'Assessment Settings'.

2. Access the Questions Tab:

- Go to the 'Questions' tab. Here you will find all the custom question creation features provided by Testlify.

3. Select a Custom Question Type:

- You can add negative scoring to three types of custom questions:

- Single Select

- Multiple Select

- Yes or No Question

4. Create or Edit a Question:

- Open any of the three custom question types.

- Add your question and the corresponding answers.

5. Show Additional Options:

- At the bottom of the question input section, look for the 'Show Options' button.

- Click on 'Show Options' to reveal additional features.

6. Add Negative Scoring:

- Among the additional features, you will find a box labelled 'Negative Score'.

- Enter the desired negative score. For example, type `-1`.

- This means that apart from the correct answer, every other selected answer will result in a `-1` score for the candidates.

7. Save Your Changes:

- After setting the negative scoring, ensure all other question settings are correct.

- Save your question and the assessment.

By following these steps, you can effectively incorporate negative scoring into your assessments, enhancing the evaluation process and ensuring a more accurate measure of your candidates' knowledge and skills.
