Frequently asked questions

Can I register with my personal email address?

No. The portal only accepts @socom.mil addresses. Registration with any other domain is rejected.

I never received my verification code. What now?

Check your spam and junk folders first, since that is where most missing codes turn up. Codes can take up to 5 minutes to arrive. If nothing appears, confirm you typed your email correctly, wait for the on-screen countdown to finish, then click Request for new code.

My code says it's invalid.

Codes expire after a short window, and requesting a new code cancels the previous one. Always use the most recent code in your inbox. If it has timed out, request a fresh one.

I forgot my password.

There is no password to forget. The portal signs you in with a new six-digit code sent to your email each time, so there is nothing to remember and nothing to reset.

Do I have to sign in with a code every single time?

Yes. Every sign-in requires a fresh verification code. This keeps your account secure without a password.

Nothing happened when I clicked Start.

Assessments open in a new browser tab, so a pop-up blocker is the usual cause. Allow pop-ups for the portal in your browser settings and click Start again.

Which assessments should I take?

Read the description on each skill card and pick the ones that match your work role. There is no limit on how many you take, and each one is scored independently.

Can I pause an assessment and come back to it?

If your session is interrupted, the assessment shows as In progress on the Assessments tab and you can click Resume to return to it. Finish in one sitting wherever possible, as the assessment timer may keep running.

Can I retake an assessment?

Only if a Retake button appears beside it on the Assessments tab. Retakes are enabled per assessment. Each attempt is recorded as its own row with an Attempt # label, so you can compare your progress. If you need another attempt and no button is showing, contact your programme administrator.

How soon will I see my score?

Scores are generated once your attempt is submitted and processed. Until then the assessment shows 0%  and a status of In progress.

Why does my report show a trust score flag?

The trust score reflects proctoring signals recorded during your attempt, such as leaving the assessment tab or another face appearing on camera. A Potential Violation flag is not automatically a penalty. Open the Proctoring section of your report to see exactly what was recorded.

Can I share or keep a copy of my report?

Yes. Open the report and use Download Report to save a copy, or Print to send it to a printer or save as PDF.

Can I register with my personal email address?

No. Every profile field is optional except your email address, which is set at registration. Completing your name and contact details simply makes your records easier to identify.

Can I change the email address on my account?

No. The email field is locked after registration. Contact your programme administrator if it needs to change.
