Auto-Detect Internet Speed Before Your Assessment
To make sure you have the best experience during your assessment, Testlify now includes an Auto-Detect Internet Speed feature. This checks your internet connection before the test begins and gives you feedback.
How It Works
- When you start your assessment, the system will automatically check your internet speed.
- The check runs for up to 15 seconds.
- If your speed cannot be determined in that time, you can still proceed with the test.

What You’ll See
🟡 Before Check
- Title: Check Your Connection
- Message: Ensure a stable, high-speed internet connection for a smooth assessment experience.
🔴 Slow Connection
- Title: Weak Internet Detected
- Message: Your connection seems slow. Switch to a better network for the best performance during the assessment.
- Note: This will appear with a red border for visibility.
🟢 Good Connection
- Title: Good Internet Detected
- Message: Your internet speed looks strong. You’re ready to begin the assessment.
Why This Matters
- A stable internet connection helps you avoid interruptions during video/audio responses and live proctoring.
- If you see the weak internet warning, it’s best to switch to a stronger network (Wi-Fi or wired) before proceeding.
👉 Tip: Always check your internet connection before starting an assessment to ensure the smoothest possible experience.
