Auto-Detect Internet Speed Before Your Assessment

To make sure you have the best experience during your assessment, Testlify now includes an Auto-Detect Internet Speed feature. This checks your internet connection before the test begins and gives you feedback.

How It Works

  • When you start your assessment, the system will automatically check your internet speed.
  • The check runs for up to 15 seconds.
  • If your speed cannot be determined in that time, you can still proceed with the test.

What You’ll See

🟡 Before Check

  • Title: Check Your Connection
  • Message: Ensure a stable, high-speed internet connection for a smooth assessment experience.

🔴 Slow Connection

  • Title: Weak Internet Detected
  • Message: Your connection seems slow. Switch to a better network for the best performance during the assessment.

  • Note: This will appear with a red border for visibility.

🟢 Good Connection

  • Title: Good Internet Detected
  • Message: Your internet speed looks strong. You’re ready to begin the assessment.

Why This Matters

  • A stable internet connection helps you avoid interruptions during video/audio responses and live proctoring.
  • If you see the weak internet warning, it’s best to switch to a stronger network (Wi-Fi or wired) before proceeding.

👉 Tip: Always check your internet connection before starting an assessment to ensure the smoothest possible experience.
